Prince's halftime show was received well overall, even though the audience was rain-soaked during the Purple Rain finale. Critics proclaimed the show “one of the best ever” if not “the best.” But with Prince a Super Bowl halftime show just isn't a show without some phallic imagery and he did not disappoint in 2007, with a controversial silhouetted camera shot of Prince projected against a large sheet and bright light and a protruding guitar.
